One Tree Hill Episode Recap: "Every Picture Tells a Story" Season 7, Episode 19

It's been a long two-month hiatus, but One Tree Hill has finally returned for four more episodes. After a very long montage to remind us where we left off — as if we forgot — Brooke says, "Good morning, boyfriend" to Julian. It's nice to see them together again. But while one couple is back and better than ever, two couples are splitting before they were even really a pair.

Grubbs and Miranda
I'm not quite sure when these two became a storyline, but a few episodes prior, Miranda, the somewhat cold Brit who is in charge of Haley's record deal, discovered that Grubbs, the Tric bartender, had quite the musical talent. Just as he decided to give recording a go — and that he also has feelings for the girl — Miranda learns she's getting deported back to England. So what does one do when their love is about to leave? Propose of course.

Lauren and Mouth
These two had finally locked lips when Skills, Lauren's ex and Mouth's best friend, returned from LA. He admits to Mouth he wants his girl back and is willing to stay in Tree Hill for good if that's what it takes. Both Lauren and Mouth know they need to tell him the truth, but they avoid doing so until he figures it out on his own. He goes over to Mouth at Quinn's gallery opening, and punches him so hard that Mouth knocks down a sheet that was being used as a wall, only to reveal a half naked Alexander (Brooke's new partner at Clothes over Bros) and Victoria, B's mom, hooking up. "That's just scandalous," Victoria says as she walks away. The timing of that line with the look on Brooke's face as she finally learned who Victoria's real lover was, was perfect.

Clay and Quinn
The couple is still going strong, but of course this isn't OTH without a crazy stalker thrown in the mix. We met Katie, Clay's prospective new client, a few episodes back, but her uncanny resemblance to his dead wife Sarah lead him to pass on her. When crazy Katie learns about Sarah through the powers of the Internet, she goes and dyes her hair to match and then shows up at Quinn's opening to purchase the portrait of Clay. At first, Clay pretended he didn't know her, but later he confesses to Quinn he has a crazy girl on his hands.

Alex and Josh
OK, so they're not really a couple, but their recent rendezvous that Josh taped unbeknownst to Alex has gotten in the wrong hands, and now Julian's dad is being blackmailed. When Alex learns about everything, she screams at Josh in the middle of the opening: "Why would you make a tape of yourself having sex when you suck at it!" Julian is obviously also upset and has finally had it with Alex, but it's Brooke who urges him to help Alex because this tape could ruin her. Julian's dad says they have everything on the line, but Julian doesn't want the tape getting out for Alex's sake. So they're going to pay the million dollars. And this is where I completely called who was responsible. Josh gets on the phone and tells someone, "You said the plan was to get the tape out there — never to blackmail." So clearly he made up the whole "my computer with the sex on it is lost" lie.

Nathan and Haley
While Haley is supporting her sister's new gallery, Nathan spends the day at home with his son Jamie. In honor of having a guys' night, Nate shows Jamie how to shave (with a spoon) and then the two rock out to Kiss on Rock Band. Cue a cheesy montage full of makeup and even wigs. When Haley returns, Nathan admits he wants to have another baby. Haley tells him she had taken a pregnancy test earlier, but it was negative. She says she's fine, but with the look on her face, we know she's not. The episode ends with Haley getting up in the middle of the night, going outside, and completely breaking down. This must be the start of the journey James Lafferty (Nathan) previewed in our interview

What did you think of One Tree Hill's return episode? Only three more left until the season, and quite possibly the series, finale.
