One Tree Hill Episode Recap: "Family Affair" Season 7, Episode 14

The last episode of One Tree Hill ended with the arrival of "Hurricane Taylor," and this week picked right up in the middle of the storm. As Tree Hill's Shantel VanSanten (who plays Quinn) told me, Taylor and David really are together, and there's about to be some major family plot lines to come. So, let's get to recapping.

"Good morning, Slut," Haley says to Taylor as she prances in the kitchen half-naked. I love feisty Haley, and boy did we get that side of her this week. After announcing that David and Taylor are going to cook dinner for the gang, Taylor gets a piece of Haley's mind and tells her, "That's no way to treat your sister, and possible two-time brother-in-law."

Julian is prepping his film and gives us a little Lucas reference when he tells his dad that he's using Luke's house as a set. The movie is already experiencing hiccups as Julian has yet to hire a costume designer after his original plan, Brooke, obviously fell through. And the director has turned out to be a chauvinistic ass and is fired. To make personal matters worse, Hotty McHotterson Alexander drops off Brooke's box of Julian's things instead of her doing it herself.

Meanwhile, Mouth has returned to be by Millicent's side, unlike Brooke who is barely speaking to her. Victoria urges Brooke that Millie needs a friend, and Mouth, with the help of Lauren, whips the disastrous apartment back into shape.

Over at the dysfunctional family dinner, things are tense from the start when Taylor "gives thanks" — but mostly for David's attributes. They explain how they got together, and when Haley says it's whorish, David yells back, "Quinn had sex with this bozo when we were still married." Quinn then drops a minor bomb and admits that she and Clay never had sex — she lied when she said that. David walks out and the James sisters go at it. What begins as a catfight, ends in the pool with the boys knocking back beers as they watch. Finally, they settle down, and although Quinn and Taylor claim they're "fine," Haley certainly isn't. She clearly has pent up anger towards her sister for sleeping with Nathan back in the day, among other things. "I want you to admit you're a bitch," Haley says, and Taylor rightfully does. Although it's hard to believe they actually are together for the right reasons, David admits to Nathan that Taylor makes him happy and he hadn't smiled until her. He does, though, admit the situation is pretty messed up. Quinn apologizes to David and returns the ring he gave her. "Are you happy?" she asks. "Getting there," he says.

Brooke eventually decides that she'll be Julian's costume designer, and it's a little odd how they go from emotionally arguing to flirty banter. When Julian tells her he's out of a director, Brooke urges him to tell his father he wants the job. B's words of encouragement are enough to send him to his father's office, and when he says he wants to direct, his dad says, "You were at the top of the list."

Do you think Julian and Brooke will reconcile and get back together?
