One Tree Hill Episode Recap: "Almost Everything I Wish I'd Said The Last Time I Saw You..." Season 7, Episode 22

This week's One Tree Hill finale went out with a bang, literally, and all I can say as a devoted fan is we better get a Season 8 so we viewers get a nicely wrapped-up ending. But although one story line may leave us hanging, at least many of the other characters got happy endings.

From stalkers to crashes: Check out One Tree Hill's craziest moments

Haley, still extremely depressed about the death of her mother, jumps into her pool and stays below water until her husband pulls her back up. It's the last straw that leads her to finally speak to a therapist. While she realizes that jumping at least made her want to feel alive, Nathan and Quinn discover she's been leaving endless voice messages on her mother's cell phone. As Haley strives to get better, she tells Jamie they're all going to Utah to join the gang for Julian's film premiere.

In Utah, the group is living it up with snowball fights and fun at clubs. Quinn and Clay argue over the fact that Quinn always loses things, while Alex and Chase begin to flirt. Despite her best efforts to hook up with newly single Chase, who was dumped by Mia, Alex ends up sleeping platonically in Josh's bed. She asks him if he's ever thought of coming out and he admits that his dad is a football coach and his mom is the coach's wife. "She loves this version of me, the leading man," Josh says.

Back in Tree Hill, Miranda is gone and Grubbs is recording his music with Mia now in charge. Grubbs wishes he had told Miranda more things before she left, so Mia urges him to turn his feelings into the final song for the record.

Will One Tree Hill's season finale feel like the series ender?

It's finally time for Seven Dreams 'Til Tuesday to make its premiere at the Wasatch Valley Film Festival. Julian hangs outside while it shows and is soon joined by Jamie who can't bear to watch a film with sex scenes in it. The two have a drink (soda for Jamie, beer for Julian) and Jamie gives him his good luck charm. It clearly works because they return to the theatre where there's standing ovation. Afterward, the film sells for $3 million.

The next day everyone is getting ready to leave and Josh tells Alex he's going to fly to Denver to talk to his parents. Alex then reveals something she's been hiding, that her real name is Alice Whitehead. "I guess we all have our secrets," she tells her costar.

As Julian and Brooke are taking a stroll, he pulls out a (ginormous) engagement ring. "Everyone says the next thing I do, the next choice I make is going to define me, my career, my life. The next thing I want to do is ask you to be my wife and tell you how much I love you and how nothing else matters... marry me, Brooke Davis," Julian says. Can we say insanely romantic? So happy for these two.

Haley, too, is taking a walk and sees an owl and realizes that her mom is still with her somehow. She rejoins the group and they all go sledding. Looks like Haley may be turning things around. Later on her and Nate are alone and she's crying again, but this time it's happy tears as she reveals she's pregnant.

Alex, meanwhile, tells Chase she wants to get a place in Tree Hill of her own and asks him out. He says OK and they kiss, but of course he then gets a text from Mia saying she made a mistake and misses "us."

At the end of the episode, Quinn and Clay are on the couch, still happy as ever. Despite him making fun of her ability to lose things, he tells her, "Truth is, without you I'd be the one who's lost." She then walks into the bedroom and crazy Katie is there with a gun. She pulls the trigger. Clay comes running after, having heard the noise, and he gets shot down as well. End of the episode.

Will they survive and will we ever find out? Do you think this was a satisfying season, and possibly series finale?
