One Tree Hill Episode Recap: "What Are You Willing to Lose" Season 7, Episode 2

This episode of One Tree Hill provided a few shocking revelations — a staple of the show we're used to by now. Brooke hired the new face of her line and stood up to her boyfriend's father, Dan revealed that he's married to a Tree Hill alum, and the woman who claims to have slept with Nathan made an even more startling accusation.

Dan and his new wife
Once again, Dan's new "Revelations" talk-show provides the voice-over for this week's episode. As soon as he flashed a wedding ring I knew there would be something to his new-wife storyline. But never did I imagine that it would be... wait for it ... Rachel Gatina! Did any of you actually call that one? For a second I wondered if maybe Dan and Rachel were an act, but that kiss after the show didn't look so fake. Gross. But at least this new and improved Dan still has plenty of cheese factor. After his show, Dan sits down next to a homeless man and gives him his book. Although Rachel looks at this kind act as sheer publicity, Dan is adamant that the gesture came from the heart. He hands over his book, "Scott Free Redemption," and tells the man, "My name is Dan Scott, and I believe in you."

There's a new diva in town
After watching the dailies from Julian's film, Brooke decides the lead actress, Alex, would make a great new face for Clothes Over Bros. But Alex is a little more than Brooke and Millicent bargained for. A sweet girl while in the public eye but a vulgar diva who drinks behind-the-scenes, Alex just about makes Brooke's and Millie's lives a nightmare. She provides some funny moments, though, when Brooke keeps saying, "That's what she said," and Alex doesn't grasp the joke. Is Brooke going to use that line every episode, by the way? And either Alex's acing skills are really up to par or Brooke is easily duped because, in the end, Alex's speech how her green Clothes Over Bros dress made her realize she had everything, seems to work. The girl keeps the gig to which she exclaims, "That is so rad!"

The Thin Red Line
Even though things seem to be great between newly shacked-up couple Brooke and Julian, when J's father, Paul, comes into town, things are shaken up a bit. Not approving of his son leaving a producing job for a girl, Julian's dad comes to convince Julian that he's made the wrong decision. And even though Brooke is upset that her boyfriend was quick to deny the thought of marriage to his dad, she's the one person who understands an absent and unforgiving parent. She gives Paul the stern talk that is needed, and even tells him that Julian hangs the poster for the film The Thin Red Line up in his house because it's the one good day he remembers having with his father. Paul finally comes to his senses and says a regretful goodbye to Julian, admitting that he wasn't around enough and cared more about fictional characters than the real ones in his life.

The James Girls
Haley's label is getting shut down by a real beyotch, but she's determined to keep it running. Luckily, Mia comes into town to save the day, giving the woman an ultimatum: She either keeps Red Bedroom Records open or she'll lose their best-selling artist. The plan works, and as long as Haley finishes her promising new album in the next six months, they're good as golden. Meanwhile, Haley's sister, Quinn, is pretty heartbroken over her separation from her husband. Haley asks if something happened between the two recently, and her sister tells a story that led her to the realization that David hadn't been the guy she feel in love with. "You were really happy," Haley says. "And one day we weren't," Quinn responds. Quinn tells her sis that she knows this is not what she wants for the rest of her life, but she is upset that she didn't change, yet somehow she's the one broken over it.

Three Months
Nathan freaks out to agent Clay that he did not sleep with Renee. Clay tries to handle the situation, but Nathan bursts into their meeting, shouting, "Why are you doing this to me?" I keep going back-and-forth about this storyline. Who do you think is telling the truth? While at first I thought Renee had to be making up the whole thing , her second meeting with Clay is a bit more revealing. She reminds him of the night three months ago when Nathan celebrated scoring 35 points in his game. And then she hands over an envelope. I figured these would be pictures of Nathan and Renee hooking up at the party, but boy was I wrong. Clay talks about how they got pretty wasted after that Memphis game and that it was three months ago. The he whips out the pictures from the envelope and it's a sonogram. "She's three months pregnant, Nate," Clay says. Later that night, Nathan tells Haley that her day's about to get worse. "I have something I need to tell you," he says.

Do you think it's Nathan's baby? Comment with your thoughts below.
