One Life to Live lady doc Paige...

Forbes March and John-Paul Lavoisier, One Life to Live

One Life to Live lady doc Paige Miller (Alexandra Neil) recently revealed that she had a son with the evil Dr. Spencer Truman (Paul Satterfield) during their rocky marriage. Now Paige — who gave up the baby for adoption without telling Spencer of his existence — wants to locate him. And since this a soap, it will turn out that Paige's grown offspring is a Llanview lad she already knows!

In the Feb. 27 episode, the mystery of the boy's identity will be "narrowed down to three guys," OLTL head writer Dena Higley tells "Paige looks at some information in a folder. Then she looks up and sees three guys walk through the frame in slow motion and gasps, 'There's my son!' So it's like one of those reality shows. We'll leave that up in the air for a while and drop hints."

Anthony Geary, General Hospital

It's easy to grouse about the annual Daytime Emmy nominations: "One Life to Live's Robin Strasser was robbed! Why is Passions treated like the stepchild of soaps? And who voted for that so-so star(let)?" But nobody could object to the outstanding-lead-actor nod for General Hospital's talented Anthony Geary. In this exclusive interview, asks the most recognizable man in daytime TV about Emmy, the return of Holly and Robert Scorpio, and those endless Genie Francis rumors. Congrats on your eighth Emmy nom! I also thought that Tari [Signor, Margaret], who was [pre]nominated in [my] category, was really, really great. Michael Easton (John) should get a little shout-out as well, because you're only as good as your partner."

"It was shocking that I was even nominated," said read more

When Daytime Emmy nominations...

When Daytime Emmy nominations were announced Wednesday on The View, the CBS sudsers led the pack with 29 nominations to ABC's 12 in the major soap-opera categories. After an annus horribilis of budget slashing and cast cuts, there was finally good news for Guiding Light: TV's longest-running serial — which just turned 69 — will vie for best soap honors with As the World Turns, General Hospital and Young and the Restless. GL also scored the most acting nods, with a total of nine!

Speaking of suds thesps, many of the usual suspects were nominated, including Bold and Beautiful matriarch Susan Flannery, GH tough guys Maurice Benard and Anthony Geary, and GL diva Kim Zimmer. But Emmy also honored some newbies, such as One Life to Live's Renee Goldsberry, whose recognition was long overdue.
