I can't believe I have to wait all summer for more Castle. Is there any way Beckett will turn down Castle's proposal? — Lauren
ADAM:
Depends on who you ask. Cast member Tamala Jones thinks that Beckett's desire for career advancement in Washington, D.C., could outweigh her feelings for Castle. "Beckett is a strong woman, and she's not going to forget who she is," she says. "So she may say no — or not right now." Susan Sullivan, who plays Castle's mother, has a different take. "What woman in her right mind would say no to him?" she says. "Therein would lie the problem: I may actually have to move out. Yikes!"

Question: I'm shocked and delighted by Fox's announcement about bringing back 24, but honestly, I think this points to the future of television. It's the same thing with The Following: Give us shorter seasons, TV Gods! Seriously, 22-episode seasons just don't work for so many shows, especially the serialized ones. How much filler was there in any given 24-episode season of real-time 24? A ton, inevitably. And every other heavily serialized show you can point to is eventually going to fall back on filler episodes, or extended (and frustrating) wheel-spinning, etc. It's just inevitable, and the best serialized shows are the ones that best manage this reality: for instance, The Vampire Diaries splits its season into three or four tightly focused mini-arcs that pack as much into each mini-arc as most shows cover in a whole season. read more

Keck's Exclusives: Once Upon a Time Loses Its Little Red to CBS

When magic came to Storybrooke at the conclusion of Once Upon a Time's freshman season, there were high hopes for wolf-shifting Ruby (a.k.a. Little Red Riding Hood) and the troubled character's portrayer, Meghan Ory. The Canadian actress was upgraded to series regular for Season 2 and Ruby's back story was the focus of a November episode. Who knew that would turn out to be the character's last significant onscreen appearance? Certainly not Ory, who ultimately got her happily ever after by bolting from Storybrooke to co-star opposite Josh Holloway and Marg Helgenberger in CBS's new sci-fi fall drama, Intelligence.
