Dirty Sexy Money star Samaire Armstrong has checked into an outpatient treatment facility for undisclosed reasons, but sources tell TV Guide its likely for extreme eating disorders and serious cutting. The former O.C. actress has been an emotional wreck for years, according to the source who also insists Armstrong does not take drugs. In the years I have known her, I have never seen or heard about her taking or doing drugs, says the source. She rarely even drank. She was never that drunk girl.Despite rumors of being difficult on set, her good friends are quick to rush to her defense. Armstrongs longtime friend, former actor Ryan Fisher, says he never heard of her having any problems on any of the shows she was on. Everyone has always liked her. She loved being on the O.C. and said she was having a great time.Neither ABC nor Armstrongs rep would confirm rumors that shell miss an episode of...

Question: There are spoilers out there saying that Chloe's going to get a major scoop for the "Daily Planet" on Smallville. Any hints as to what it might be? I want her to prove herself to the smarmy new editor, so please tell me it's a good one!
Answer: Let’s just say that two words will leave Editor McSmug's jaw on the floor: Lana's resurrection. And can we hear it for Michael Cassidy? Boring Zzzzzzach from The O.C. finally grew up and got interesting!

Question: I'm not even going to attempt to argue with Julie H.'s recent statement that drugs, alcohol and sex play a part in most high school experiences, considering that none of those things had to do with mine (and I'm 23), but I do want to address the somewhat roller-coaster trend of these teen dramas. I personally loved The O.C., so when I heard about Gossip Girl, I thought it would be a comparable replacement. When I watched the premiere, I (and after reading reviews, it seems that I am the only one) was severely disappointed. It was boring, predictable, at times unbelievable and insulting. After a benchmark-in-the-teen-drama-sector show like The O.C., and after failed attempt after failed attempt at remaking it (Life As We Know It, Summerland, Hidden Palms), what can these shows do to surprise us? I realize that a show about a bunch of poor kids with parents who love them would probably not even show at upfronts, but can't we move in that "normal" direction?
Answer: Stephanie, do I

Bloody Mary [Spin], bloody Mary [Spin], bloody Mary [Spin]. Did you ever play that game? I did several times at grade-school slumber parties, and here's the secret: the reason "Bloody Mary" pops out at you in the mirror is... you're so dizzy after spinning around three times, you wind up seeing your reflection "behind" you. But do not try this at home!Actually, at the start of the episode, when the first "victim" landed herself in the hospital, I thought, "It's kind of what's supposed to happen when you play that Bloody Mary game in the mirror!" Was I right, or was I right? After a pretty eventful season premiere, I don't have much to say about this episode, and not because it was bad. It just didn't really connect any dots about the big "Grandview secret" or all of the other unanswered questions. But that's OK, I'm sure we'll get a few episodes of the "semi-serialized" variety for a few weeks, and then the dots will start lining up during November sweeps. It just seems to work that...

Cole Hauser and Amanda Righetti by Skip Bolen/Fox
Someone over at Fox really likes Amanda Righetti. The onetime O.C. starlet who followed up her stint in Newport Beach with back-to-back gigs on Fox's North Shore and Reunion is joining the cast of the net's new drama series K-Ville. She'll be playing the recurring role of A.J., a potential love interest for Cole Hauser. As we'll learn in the Sept. 24 episode, the two characters share a common link. To say more than that would ruin the big twist at the end of the Sept. 17 premiere. And as you know, I don't ruin. Spoil, yes. Ruin, no.

Look, ya'll! I'm blogging!OK, seriously how fun is this? I feel so hipster. And so honored that all four of you have dropped in on my first-ever blog. As for the name, I gotta say that this was a tough one. Not much rhymes with Damian — Bahamian, New Canaan, that's about it — and it was stressed to me that Omen jokes were just too weird. (Although I did like the idea of "Channel 666.") But instead, I stuck with what I wanted to write about: the glee one can find revisiting their favorite TV shows on DVD. Hence, "The Joy of Sets."So once a week, maybe more, I'll be sharing the Joy and shedding some light on whatever TV on DVD set currently devouring my free time. Also, for anyone who remembers the original Watercooler column here on TVGuide.com, there may also be occasional updates on (and input from) Pepito the Wonder Chihuahua, who is right now staring at me with his bug eyes like I owe him scratches. 'Cause that's how he rolls. And I promise, these entries will be fun-s...

Tyra Banks courtsy The CW
The question that has been keeping no one I know on the edge of their seat: Whats next for the CW, coming off its mostly dismal freshman year, in which the biggest news was made by posting closing notices on shows that had long ago peaked or lost much of their buzz (7th Heaven, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, the latter still apparently having an itty-bitty chance of midseason resurrection). A year in which the closest thing to a new breakout hit that didnt originate on either the WB or UPN was an insipid Pussycat Dolls reality showslated for a midseason return, begging the question: How many Pussycat Dolls do we really need?It took the CW long enough to get busy in the reality game, which is actually rather puzzling considering its target demographic of young females has been weaned on the format on MTV, VH1, as well as the bigger networks. Americas Next Top Model has long been a signature show, first for UPN and now CW, and now the network is getting serious ...
