Men and women in New York City's police department are profiled in a seven-part series that, like its predecessors `Hopkins 24/7' and `Boston 24/7,' provides a cinema-vérité look at the daily demands and pressures of a life-and-death profession. Culled from 16 months of filming, the series follows a diverse cast of people, from the beat cop all the way up to the Commissioner.
