John Smith and Pocahontas is revisited via evidence from archaeological digs at Jamestown, the colony Smith and his fellow explorers founded in 1607; and at the site of Pocahontas' village. Included: how relations between the Indians and explorers are now believed to have been friendly at the start; and the role a drought may have played in changing that.
