“Survivor M.D.: Second Opinions” (Part 2 of three) follows the careers of three more members of the Harvard Medical School Class of 1991, beginning with their first weeks of med school in 1987. “When are we going to come up for air?” wonders Jane Liebschutz, who decided early on to work in an inner-city hospital. Cheryl Dorsey chose pediatrics---then went to grad school (and now has a corporate public-health position). And David Friedman is an ophthalmologist. “The eye is amazing,” he marvels. “How do you build a living structure like that?”
