Charting the three-and-a-half-decade quest by Boston medical researcher Judah Folkman to “starve” cancer cells by cutting off their blood supplies. The result of that quest: the drug endostatin (developed in 1996), which has been undergoing promising clinical trials. Folkman is interviewed throughout the hour. A number of other cancer researchers are also interviewed, as is former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop. Liev Schreiber narrates.
