In a 1982 interview with Carl Sagan, chemist George Kistiakowsky (1900-82) recalls his work on the atom bomb, his service as advisor to President Eisenhower and his subsequent efforts to end the arms buildup. Kistiakowsky also recalls developing the device that detonated the atom bomb and his work in the 1950s on ICBMs.
