Tori Spelling, Smallville
Meteor freaks, beware! There's a slippery new villain hitting the CW's Smallville (Thursdays at 8 pm/ET) in the form of Tori Spelling. So we went right to the Beverly Hills, 90210 grad for the scoop on her super guest spot.
TV Guide: Rumor has it you're playing a gossip columnist, which is kind of funny considering....Tori Spelling: [Laughs] I love it. I thought if anyone should play a gossip columnist trying to get the dirt on innocent people, it should be me! [Laughs] That's my life every week.
TV Guide: And you get to have superpowers? Spelling: Yeah. My character has Kryptonite powers…. So I can turn myself into water.

Question: I don't care what anyone says about Tori Spelling — I loved Season 1 of So NoTorious. Any word on whether or not there will be a second season?
Answer: There won't be — and that seriously blows. Like you, I thought the show was ridiculously smart and funny. And I have a confession to make: I initially included Tori in our Dream Emmy Ballot for best actress in a comedy series. But then I was reminded that Tichina Arnold was left off the list. And, well, there was no way in hell Tichina Arnold was getting left off that list.

Luke Perry, Windfall
Luke Perry's new role as a lottery winner in NBC's Windfall (Thursdays at 10 pm/ET, premiering tonight) has the former Beverly Hills, 90210 bad boy thinking about what he'd do with a massive payday of his own.
TV Guide: Your new show, Windfall, is about a group of friends who win $20 million each in the lottery. What would you do if you won?
Luke Perry: If $20 million dropped on me in one lump sum, you wouldn't see much of me. I'd be gone, doing s

If Tori Spelling's said it once, she's said it a thousand times: She has no beef with her former Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Shannen Doherty. Well, her true life VH1 comedy So noTORIous begs to differ. In this Sunday's episode, a terrified Tori hides to avoid a run-in with her nemesis, er, bestest friend. Later, she flashes back to her 90210 days and Doherty I'm quoting directly from the script here appears as a "gigantic, towering shadow" and talks like Linda Blair in The Exorcist. Spelling declined to comment, but a source close to So noTORIous insists the bit merely "plays off the joke that everybody thinks they don't get along. The show is all about poking fun at rumors." But will Doherty be laughing? Her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, says her client would be "very, very hurt" by such a monstrous portrayal, especially after Spelling personally invited her to make a cameo. "Tori sent Shannen a note saying, 'I'd love for you to come on the ...

Loni Anderson, So Notorious
When VH1's So Notorious premieres this Sunday (10 pm/ET), it may leave some viewers a bit confused. They may think, "Hey, I never knew Loni Anderson was Tori Spelling's real mother...." But no, that's not one of Hollywood's best-kept secrets. Anderson, of course, is only playing the part in this fictionalized version of Tori's life. While Tori's real mother is Candy, Anderson is "Kiki," a twisted version of Aaron Spelling's wife. "Candy is a really nice lady," says Anderson, best known for her classic role as Jennifer Marlowe on WKRP in Cincinnati. "And, as we all know, being nice isn't funny. So Tori needed a nemesis, and I am the mother you love to hate."
TVGuide.com: How did this role come about for you?Loni Anderson: I had to kind of fight to get in because they didn't want a celebrity name for the part. They wanted Tori to be the only celebrity because th

Question: In response to last week's question about NBC's scheduling of Sunday nights next year, what do you think the chances are that they'll bring back their TV-movies on that night? I think it's kind of a shame that CBS is the only network in the regular TV-movie game right now and TVGuide.com's the Biz just reported that they may dump their movies as well. So what do you think the chances are that NBC will bring back original movies on that night, particularly if CBS dumps their Sunday-night movie next year? After all, Kellie Martin and Tori Spelling aren't going to employ themselves, you know!
Answer: First off, Tori Spelling has kind of become her own boss. She's listed as an executive producer on her new VH1 so-called comedy series, So NoTORIous. And Kellie Martin has been making mystery movies for the Hallmark Channel, so I wouldn't cry for either of those leading ladies just yet. But the answer to your TV-movie question is no. On network TV, the made-for-TV movie is pretty

Tori Spelling's parents, Aaron (a TV producer of some note) and Candy, have stopped speaking to her, sources tell the New York Post, because of a scene in her new VH1 series that pokes fun at the roomful of eBay knickknacks that her mother has amassed in real life. (Mom has even threatened to sue.) Via a spokesperson, Tori responds, "So noTORIous [premiering April 2] is a fictionalized account of my life after 90210. We take poetic license with everyone and every story line." Hence, the bitchy character named "Shannon Fogerty."
