Criminal Minds

Criminal Minds

Gavin Rossdale is better known as a musician than an actor, but he gets to meld the two professions when he guest stars as a rock star in this episode. As the team tracks a serial killer, they make the connection that the murders seem to match up with the touring schedule of a goth rocker (Rossdale) that they suspect has become lost in his dark stage persona.

Top Chef: Las Vegas
10/9c Bravo
The gourmets hammed it up last week, taking on pork-themed food and pairing it with vintage wine. But this was dining and whining, as catty dustups revolved around Robin and later the Voltaggio brothers, who are taking sibling rivalry to new heights. We now advance to tonight's supersize event (drum roll): the Restaurant Wars challenge. Here, the cooks must manage all matters of a restaurant, including serving, cooking and hosting. Top Chef Masters player Rick Moonen serves as the guest judge.

Nip/Tuck

At the end of last season, just-married Christian learned that he wasn't dying after all. "Have a long and happy life together" with Liz, the doctor told him. Will the marriage last through the opening credits as Season 6 begins? Here's a hint: She already has a lawyer (Barry Bostwick). Another downer: Business is bad, but old frenemy Mike Hamoui (Mario Lopez) is now in L.A. and doing nicely. Things are going nicely for Sean and Teddy (now played by Rose McGowan), too, but not so much for Matt.

Mega Buzz on Grey's, Housewives, Lie to Me, Bones, Life & More

Eric Dane (Grey's Anatomy), Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives) and Tim Roth (Lie to Me)

Every week, senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich, Mickey O'Connor and Tim Molloy satisfy your need for TV scoop. Please send all questions to mega_scoop@tvguide.com.

I adored the "McFamily" scenes last week on Grey's Anatomy. What's next for Mark, Lexie, Meredith and Derek? — Kelly
MATT: For Mark and Lexie, much cuteness is on the immediate horizon. I mean, as much as Thatcher Grey makes my skin crawl (no offense, Jeff Perry!), the way things play out when he returns is better than I expected. For Mer and Der, there's the none-too-small matter of a stern ultimatum coming from the bride. As that gets sorted out, the would-be marrieds will find cause to fast-track their wedding, so get to updating that website, illing Izzie!

So I'm guessing that Gaby will be hosting the spoiled teen diva on Desperate Housewives. They should totally get Selena Gomez to play the part! — Darcy
MICKEY: I like where your head's at, Darcy, what with the Disney/ABC corporate synergy and all. It won't be Selena, but the Housewives casting elves ... read more

Exclusive: Melanie Griffith Cuts into Nip/Tuck Role

Kelly Carlson, Melanie Griffith

If you've ever wondered who brought Nip/Tuck's wild Kimber into the world, you'll soon meet her — and she'll be played by Melanie Griffith.

The Working Girl actress will play Brandie, Kimber's beautiful and considerate mother, who visits her ex-pornstar daughter from Wisconsin, a show insider confirms exclusively to TVGuide.com. (Griffith couldn't be better cast in terms of looks — her resemblance to Kelly Carlson, who plays Kimber, is striking.)

Brandie will be joined by Les, her too-tan, on-again-off-again car-salesman boyfriend of six years. Les, played by Robin Thomas (Another World, Who's the Boss), ignites insta-hate from Christian ... read more

Premise: A pungent plastic-surgery drama that deftly keeps its humanity amid some graphic operation scenes that aren't for the squeamish. FX's surprise hit smoothly mixes searing drama and mordant humor as it dissects conflicts between two physicians who are partners and best friends: the skirt-chasing, morality-challenged Christian Troy and idealistic Sean McNamara, who's (slightly) more straitlaced. Christian and Sean were based in Miami for the show's first four seasons but moved to L.A. for Season 5.
