On the series premiere, convict-turned-assassin Nikita (Maggie Q) returns with a vengeance. As a teen, she was rescued from death row by a covert government agency known only as Division. The shadowy organization trained her to be a spy and a killer. But when her fiance was murdered, Nikita realized that she had been betrayed by the very people she worked for. So she escaped.
Three years later, she's come out of hiding, and bent on a mission to bring Division down. Doing so won't be easy: In her absence, Division has continued to recruit and mold young people into ruthless killers. And after hearing of Nikita's return, Division boss Percy (Xander Berkeley) and his right-operative Michael (Shane West) begin their hunt.
Meanwhile, there's the promising new recruit Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca), a girl who had a violent past, just like Nikita, before she was "rescued" by Division. Michael and Amanda (Melinda Clarke) will train Alex. Too bad Alex has other plans.
