Into the Night

A boisterous late-night blend of comedy, celebrity interviews and music guests. Host Rick Dees mixed viewer contests with comic bits (such as security chief Barney Fife Jr.) but the result was more frenzied than funny. In July 1991, Dees was dropped in favor of guest hosts and three months later the show was renamed `Studio 59.'
