The Big Easy drew a big audience.

New Season Reviews: NCIS: New Orleans, Person of Interest

NCIS: New Orleans

If you had a successful recipe for beignets, would you mess with it? Same rule applies for CBS's NCIS: New Orleans (9/8c), the latest transplantation of TV's most durable (and around the world, most watched) franchise. This second spinoff — forcing NCIS: LA to move to Mondays starting next week — of a series that was itself a spinoff (of the long-running JAG) hews strictly to the... read more

What will Emma and Hook's dating life be like on Once Upon a Time? — Val
The good news: The producers are going to let them go out somewhere other than Granny's Diner. The bad news: "It's going to be tricky for the two of them," executive producer Adam Horowitz says. "Just because we saw their feelings reach a new level at the end of last season doesn't mean that that's the end of the story." And Emma may be the problem. "Emma is obviously a person who has a tough time trusting people and letting her guard down," executive producer Edward Kitsis says. "Sometimes you may feel something for somebody but your feelings hold you back."

Single and Ready to Mingle: New Girl Puts Laughter Before Love in Season 4

Zooey Deschanel and Max Greenfield

New Girl creator and executive producer Liz Meriwether is ready to lighten the mood this season, and it's safe to say she's not alone. "As my 13-year-old cousin said to me this weekend, 'Are people going to yell at each other less?' And I said, 'Yes,'" Meriwether tells TVGuide.com. "We all are just really trying to go for the funniest thing this year. I think the comedy is really our priority."

5 Ways to Avoid Black Best Friend Syndrome

Zooey Deschanel, Lamorne Morris

You guys, did you hear? Diversity is in! Much like feminism and ALS charities, diversity is one of the hottest trends of 2014, especially on television. But while network execs have been quick to praise their multicultural casts, one disappointing trope has popped up in more than one fall pilot: the Black Best Friend.

Of course, it's impossible to judge a show on a pilot alone... read more

Do you have any new info on The Blacklist's new season? —  Roger
How about some exclusive casting news? Tony-nominated Broadway veteran Norm Lewis — who is currently starring in the title role of The Phantom of the Opera and did a stint last season on Scandal — has been tapped to play J.P. Laskin, a business associate of Red's who doesn't exactly agree with his recent moves in the ongoing war with Berlin. In fact, I hear Laskin may even be tempted to switch sides. Of course, once Red finds out about the betrayal, he'll probably make the choice for him. Perhaps playing a "phantom" will come in handy!
