Premise: A low-key (and disappointingly realized) series about a small-town mayor. After a promising debut with guest appearances by stars of the original `Andy Griffith Show,' this failed to sustain audience interest. It was Griffith's second shot in the 1970-71 season, having previously failed with `The Headmaster,' a show sold on the basis of the actor's popularity, before a format had been chosen or script written.
