Season 30, Episode 12 The White Lions
First Aired: May 9, 2012
The experiences of two white-lion-cub sisters in South Africa's Kruger National Park are chronicled. Due to their inability to blend in with their surroundings, the critters face a tougher life than tawny offspring: catching game becomes more difficult and they're more likely to be spotted by male lions, which would kill them in order to start new families with their mothers. Complicating matters: they belong to a small pride that has no adult male to protect them from such marauders.
