Country music spitfire Miranda Lambert will make her acting debut on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Lambert, who is married to Blake Shelton, a coach on NBC's hit singing competition The Voice, will play an actress who claims to have been sexually assaulted by a reality show producer. Michael McKean (Laverne &Shirley, This Is Spinal Tap, Smallville) will play the alleged sleazebag in question. Given that Lambert's album and song titles include Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Kerosene and "Gunpowder & Lead," he'd better watch his back...
This year, Miranda Lambert will be throwing one heck of a birthday party. The country singer turns 27 on November 10 — the same night the Country Music Association hosts its 44th annual awards in Nashville. And the birthday girl just might walk away with a whole mess of shiny gifts: Lambert scored nine nominations, the most ever garnered by a female in a single year.
"It's ridiculous, isn't it?" Lambert says. "It hasn't really sunk in yet."

Jewel's Tyd the knot.After 10 years together, the singer and rodeo champion Ty Murray eloped to the Bahamas and exchanged vows in a private ceremony Thursday night, People reports."She wore a traditional wedding gown, while Ty wore his favorite blue jeans, white shirt and cowboy hat," Jewel's rep told the magazine. "The couple is very happy and look forward to enjoying their honeymoon."The couple share share a 2,200-acre ranch in Stephenville, Texas.Jewel, 34, is a judge on CMT's Nashville Star.
