Naked City

An unusually raw and realistic (for its time) drama about New York City cops that was strong on character development and location filming. After an initial season of half-hour episodes, the show was canceled, but returned a year later as an hourlong series for a three-season run that included early-career guest roles for such notables as Diahann Carroll, Sandy Dennis, Peter Fonda, Dustin Hoffman, Robert Redford and Jon Voight. Based on the 1948 movie `The Naked City.'
