In the conclusion of “Murder Rooms: The Dark Origins of Sherlock Holmes,” Dr. Bell (Ian Richardson) and young Conan Doyle (Robin Laing) are searching for the fiddler's killer. He left a neatly stacked pile of coins near the body, a clue that Doyle first noticed. So it's particularly troubling to him that a similar pile is found in the chambers of the fellow medical student (Dolly Wells) in whom he is romantically interested.
