Lynley and Havers probe a playwright's murder at the Scottish estate of the impresario (Ronald Pickup) who's producing her latest play. He's a suspect, of course, along with the play's director (Jonathan Firth) and stars---all of whom were in rehearsal at the estate when the murder occurred. Complicating matters for Lynley: he's carrying a torch for the director's new girlfriend, Lady Helen Clyde (Lesley Vickerage).The estate used for filming was once owned by George Harrison.
