Earl is back for a wild second season, still trying his best to do good deeds while getting into offbeat misadventures as only he can.
Earl Hickey is an unrepentant ne'er-do-well with a long list of things he's done wrong in life. All that changes when he wins a small lottery and, in a swift twist of fate, learns the meaning of "karma": Do good things and good things happen.
In its freshman season, viewers are introduced to Earl Hickey, a lifelong (but oddly lovable) no-account who wins the lottery, then promptly loses the ticket after being hit by a car. In an epiphany, Earl realizes its all because of bad karma. Thus begins Earls quest to turn his karma around by making amends for all his former misdeeds, of which there are plenty.
Season 3 finds our hero in the toughest spot of his life prison! Of course, Earl was only taking the rap for Joy.
