Two cash-strapped wedding guests (Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence) meet and immediately dislike each other, but they bond over their envy of the bride and groom's presents. They then decide to pretend to get engaged in order to split the gifts, but carrying on this charade for their families proves complicated.
