Last of the Mohicans

A British adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper's frontier saga of flight, pursuit and capture, originally telecast on `Masterpiece Theatre.' The 1826 story is part of Cooper's `Leatherstocking Tales,' which chronicle the years 1740 to 1804 and follow the scout Hawkeye in adventures that begin in 1757 against the backdrop of the French and Indian War. Filmed in the Scottish Highlands.
