As we all know by now (unless you're living under a rock), Harrison Ford has been whipped back into shape for the long-awaited 4th film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It debuts at the box office in just two more months, and most of us can't wait! But there's been an added bonus: in the run-up to this sure-fire blockbuster, Paramount Home Entertainment and Lucasfilm have slowly been releasing DVD sets of the early '90s television version, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. In fact, the third and final collection ships on April 29th.Pre-order Young Indiana Jones - Vol. 3 on Amazon.comBut if it weren't for the upcoming return of this illustrious character, would the television series have ever seen the light of day? Maybe...but possibly not at this particular time, and probably not with such an in-depth production job on episodes and extras. Oh, these TV-DVDs have certainly been in the works since 2002. ABC is fast-tracking production on National Bingo Night, a prime-time game show that will afford viewers at home a chance to win prizes all the while not having to inhale the chain-smoking of the 93-year-old lady playing 24 cards next to you. UPDATE: ABC has set a Friday, May 18, 9 pm/ET debut for Bingo, to be hosted by Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's Ed Sanders. Also per Variety, CBS is developing a game show of its own, from Weakest Link producer Phil Gurin and in which strangers have to wager on how much they trust each other. Or something like that, details are sketchy. TNT's development slate includes Leverage, a Mission: Impossible-like action series; Mrs. America, about a woman valiantly juggling career and family; a remake of the 1960s series The Saint; and a family drama tentatively titled A.D.

Phil Morris with Tom Welling, Smallville
He wasn't in last week's "Justice" episode, but tonight TV veteran Phil Morris (Mission: Impossible) drops in on Smallville as J'onn J'onzz (pronounced "John Jones"), a familiar face from the world of DC Comics. Like Kal-El, J'onn is from a different planet — Mars — hence his other handle, the Martian Manhunter. Given that J'onn is a shape-shifter, many actors could have been hired to play the part, but Smallville scored by casting Morris, who brings a mature and guiding presence (something that Clark has needed since losing his dad) as well as a solid knowledge of the comic-book world.
TVGuide.com: Wouldn't it have been appropriate for you to be in last week's "Justice" episode, which featured Green Arrow, Aquaman, Cyborg and Impulse?Morris: All those characters

Ving Rhames
Mission: Impossible heavyweight Ving Rhames has joined the cast of the Smallville spin-off pilot starring newcomer Will Toale as Aquaman née A.C. Curry. Rhames, whose last TV venture was USA Network's Kojak revival, will play McCaffrey, a lighthouse keeper (not to be confused with a light housekeeper) who serves as a mentor to A.C. His first bit of advice: "Steer clear of tartar sauce."
