I think we were all underwhelmed by Molly's mother and sister last week. This week, they were a little more likable.
Let's start with Mike and Molly's first date. Wow. Anything and everything that can go wrong does. Molly likes Mike so much she's afraid to cancel on him. So instead of rescheduling, she decides to power through it. The only problem is that Molly's mom gives her some cold medicine and her sister gives her a diet pill. That combination produces a very frank — and highly inappropriate (though extremely funny) — Molly. I laughed a lot at things I won't be reprinting here.
The date was definitely the highlight of the episode. Seeing Mike and Molly together is the best part of this show. I'd like to see the relationship and rapport develop more with Mike and his partner Carl. And how about Molly's sister and mom? I'm just not sure they know what to do with those characters yet. I hope they do something good and soon. I feel like we're starting to head in the right direction.
I liked it when Mike said he was going to "marry that girl," when talking about Molly. I can't wait to see how their courtship progresses.
