Mickey Mouse is returning to where it all began. The Disney icon and his pals will star in a new series of 19 animated shorts, which will premiere on Disney Channel starting Friday, June 28.
Disney says the new Mickey Mouse shorts will contain contemporary themes, but also pay homage to the art direction and style of the original 1920s and 1930s cartoons.

The Crystal Mickey has been stolen! Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse spoofs Raiders of the Lost Ark (Friday, 9 am/8c) when a statue of the world's most famous mouse is snatched from the Clubhouse. This is no mere tchotchke. Without the statue's magic, the Clubhouse will disappear forever! The thief, it turns out, is Plunderin' Pete and he's way too dastardly for Mickey, Minnie, Donald and company to handle on their own.

Disney Junior
Disney Channel has confirmed a launch date for its new 24-hour preschool channel. Disney Junior will replace SoapNet on most cable and satellite systems at midnight on Friday, March 23.
The new cable network, an offshoot of Disney Channel's Disney Junior block, will launch with the new animated series Doc McStuffins. That show, about a six-year-old girl who nurses her sick toys back to health, is one of several new programs that will make their debut on Disney Junior.
