Project Runway
Project Runway wrapped its first season on Lifetime with season-best numbers.
The Season 6 Runway finale was watched by 4.2 million viewers, topping the night amongst the cable competition. That number was roughly 500,000 people fewer than Season 5's finale on Bravo.
Over on the networks, CBS finally loosened ABC's stranglehold on Thursday night, as it took the top spot in total viewers and in the adults 18-49 demographic. The return of Red John on The Mentalist (15.8 million viewers) was the night's most-watched show, building on solid numbers from CSI (15 million viewers) and Survivor: Samoa (12. 3 million viewers.)
All of the networks' numbers were down, but ABC took the hardest hit...

Grey's Anatomy
Grey's Anatomy continued to dominate in the 18-49 demo Thursday night, leading ABC to its third-straight Thursday night victory, according to overnight estimates.
CBS' CSI scored 14.6 million to Grey's 13.8 million, but the ABC drama handily defeated the CBS procedural among adults 18-49. The Office's buzzed-about, hourlong wedding episode also outperformed CSI in the demo and pulled in 9.1 million viewers for the show's best numbers in nearly a year. MICKEY: You can add Katey Sagal's name to the list of Lost alums who have jetted off to Hawaii to shoot scenes for the final season. Call me a romantic, but I never believed that Locke's beloved Helen was actually dead; that whole cemetery scene reeked of fakery. Plus, we've all heard the rumors about Season 6 employing an alternate timeline (or, more intriguing, a "do-over" of Oceanic Flight 815), which means that even if Matthew Abaddon was telling the truth, Helen is still just as likely to be alive as, say, Charlie, Boone, Shannon, Eko or Juliet.

Robin Tunney, The Mentalist
Nearly every show on TV has to deal with will-they-won't-they sexual tension between its series leads. CBS' The Mentalist is no different.
"You always want to keep the audience wanting and guessing," Robin Tunney tells TVGuide.com. "Once it happens it's very difficult to know where to go from there."
Fall TV: Get the scoop on all the new and returning shows
As California Bureau of Investigation Agent Teresa Lisbon, Tunney finds herself fighting that battle with co-star Simon Baker's Patrick Jane. Lisbon's disdain for Jane slowly gave way to flirty camaraderie, and in the Season 1 finale, Jane fatally shot a man to protect her. But that doesn't mean 'shippers should expect a wild love affair in Season 2...

Grey's fans have had all summer to deal with George's sudden death, but it just happened at Seattle Grace so things are in a state of shock as Season 6 begins. That's hardly a surprise, but staffers work through their grief in ways you might not immediately suspect. (TV fans with long memories might get a chuckle out of it.) But life goes on, and for Izzie, at least, that's good news. Mitch Pileggi returns as board chairman Larry Jennings. For the chief, this is not good news.
