Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome you've given me as well as your thoughtful comments. Please keep them coming. I'm going to keep the recap and comments a little short this week (hey, it's a repeat after all) and pose some questions at the end, which I encourage everyone to respond to. I forgot how excited I was when Mario Cantone made his first guest appearance as Terry the hairdresser. I remember him so fondly from his days on Sex and the City. I wonder if Jenny Bicks will be able to entice anyone else from the show to make a guest appearance in Elmo. I hope so. But back to Mario. "I'm as New York as the Statue of Liberty but less of a queen," he tells Marin when they meet, then promptly lops off way too much hair during a tremor. A larger tremor results in an avalanche that traps Patrick and his newly discovered father in Buzz's cabin. Marin tucks her hair woes under a hat and teams up with Jack to help find the missing pair. And what's hotter than seeing these two tied together? Maybe when he washes her hair at the end of the episode... Sorry, I got distracted. Let's get back to the search for Patrick and Buzz. Marin brings up Lynn when she and Jack are still in search mode and doesn't have much success in getting any details about her. Ah, the good old days when Lynn was just a name and not an actual person yet. When Jack tells Marin that not having kids is a deal breaker, he should have specified that it would be preferable if the kids were his. I'm just saying. In other couples news, Ben encourages Sara to give up the business and spend more time learning to be an EMT. All seems to be going quite well for them until Sara gets freaked out by how fast Ben is moving. His heart is in the right place but his actions only propel Sara into leaving town with her son. When this episode first aired last year I thought the writers might be getting rid of Sara's character completely. I was very happy to be wrong but I felt her character was kind of being punished or sent to purgatory to right her past wrongs. I don't remember how many episodes she was gone for but the absence was noticeable. I'm happy she's back. OK, now for those questions. I remember from a few weeks ago that someone suggested the reason Sara was sued was for "alienation of affection." There were other suggestions too but I thought that one in particular was an interesting twist. Any other theories out there? Also, I thought it might be fun to speculate on how Jack and Lynn's relationship might end (no carnage please). I don't hate Lynn but it's fun to pretend one day she'll be gone. And what would Jack have to do to try to make things up to Marin? I can't wait to hear your theories. See you in April. show less
