As part of our Holiday Eats series, we joined Bastianich in the kitchen of his famous New York City market Eataly as he prepared chicken involtini, which Bastianich says is simple to make, flavorful, and best of all, healthy. During the video Bastianich shares what holidays are like for his family and explains why they always cook lentils for luck on New Year's Eve.

Ratings: The Voice Returns Lower; Katie Bows Big

The Season 3 premiere of The Voice easily topped Monday, but also posted the series' lowest-rated premiere ever.

The two-hour telecast, the show's first in the fall, was predictably down from its Super Bowl-boosted Season 2 premiere, averaging 12 million viewers and a 4.1 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic — dropping 39 percent and 25 percent, respectively. Summer TV's Hits & Misses

It was a summer that won't be remembered fondly, at least by the broadcast networks. Despite a flurry of new shows, from CBS' Dogs in the City to ABC's Glass House, there wasn't much to crow about — at least until NBC's Summer Olympics ratings juggernaut came along. Cable fared better, launching new hits like A&E's Longmire and TNT's Perception and opening events like History's Hatfields & McCoys to big numbers.
