Premise:
An irascible, dogged D.C. Fed pursues cases linked to corruption in the nation's capital. The title character was introduced in the miniseries `Favorite Son,' in which his respect for duty and honor belied his cynicism. As he told a rookie FBI agent at the Washington Monument, `If the government worked the way it looked, it could be a great country.'
