Man vs. Wild star Bear Grylls is developing a new competition series for NBC called Get Out Alive, Entertainment Weekly reports.
NBC has reportedly ordered eight episodes of the series, which will split contestants into two teams and present them with extreme challenges in the wilderness. The show is expected to premiere next summer.

The Discovery Channel has fired Man vs. Wild star Bear Grylls, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Due to a continuing contractual dispute with Bear Grylls, Discovery has terminated all current productions with him," a network rep told THR. Grylls apparently wouldn't participate in two upcoming projects for which he was under contract.
