Premise: Erma Bombeck created this sitcom about a harried homemaker---just like her literary persona in such works as `The Grass Is Always Greener over the Septic Tank.' The story lines dealt with suburban hassles and child-rearing, but lacked the drollery that made Bombeck's books so popular.
