The New York City Opera performs "Rigoletto," Verdi's 1851 masterpiece about a libertine duke (tenor Richard Leech) who seduces the innocent Gilda (soprano Faith Esham), inciting her father (baritone Brent Ellis) to revenge. Maddalena: Susanne Marsee. Sparafucile: Mark S. Doss. Monterone: Ralph Bassett. Sung in Italian with English subtitles.
