A retrospective of works commissioned for the New York City Ballet's Diamond Project since its inception in 1992. The project “is about new choreography” in the classical idiom, says NYCB artistic director Peter Martins, whose own 1992 piece “Jeu de Cartes” is performed. Also scheduled: Lynne Taylor-Corbett's “Chiaroscuro”; resident choreographer Christopher Wheeldon's “Mercurial Manouvres” (featuring music by Hindemuth) ;and Ulysses Dove's “Red Angels”, which features a rock-style electric violin.
