“Armstrong: When the Saints Go Marching In,” a 100th-birthday Alice Tully Hall tribute to Satchmo (1901-71), with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. Highlighting the program are re-creations of Armstrong's landmark 1927 recordings with five and seven-piece ensembles (“hot fives and sevens”). Marsalis takes Armstrong's trumpet solos. Scheduled selections include “St. James Infirmary,” “Wild Man Blues,” “Muskrat Ramble” and “Twelfth Street Rag.”
