Premise: A five-part dramatization of the life of perhaps the quintessential Renaissance man: painter, sculptor, musician, scientist and engineer (1452-1519). Produced by the Italian TV network RAI, the series also aired on PBS in 1974. Earlier in the summer of 1972, NBC aired a documentary on Leonardo, produced in conjunction with the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
