Gentle family comedy following Victorian-era life in New York City for the Days, father Clarence Sr., his wife, Vinnie, and their four sons, all redheads. Based on Clarence Jr.'s magazine recollections, which morphed into a book, a Broadway play that ran from 1939 to '47 and a well-received 1947 movie (starring William Powell and Irene Dunne). Telecast live from Hollywood, it was the first network series to be shown in color.
