Ludicrously costumed contestants from the studio audience `dealt' with host Monty Hall for prizes ranging from merchandise to cash---or, if they guessed wrong, useless items known as `zonks.' Hall, who was also the series creator, once boasted of `4700 shows in 27 years,' and the show's durability is legendary. It aired mostly in daytime and in syndication, but it did have network prime-time runs on NBC and ABC in the 1960s and '70s, plus a brief revival on NBC in 2003.
