Long-running slapstick sitcom (with a great theme song) about two single Milwaukee women sharing an apartment and working at a brewery in the 1950s. Their circle of friends included oddballs Lenny and Squiggy, and Shirley's sweet boyfriend Carmine. A spin-off from `Happy Days,' it relied more on physical comedy than its parent show and was actually more successful, becoming the No. 1 show in its second year. Before the end of its run, the girls moved to L.A. A cartoon version aired in 1981.

OK, so since we had so much fun last week with everyone’s DVD wish lists, (and where the hell is thirtysomething, anyway?!) I figured why not give ya’ll a chance to weigh in with more opinions. I'm going out on a limb this week, and I'm choosing a DVD set I haven't seen for my "Pick of the Week" (minor mix-up at the PR firm) - Not Just The Best Of The Larry Sanders Show. Though this is a dreaded "best of" release (please, please continue with the series in seasons sets), there are tons of bonus materials on the release. Garry Shandling is joined by Peter Tolan for commentary on two episodes, with Todd Holland and Judd Apatow doing one episode a piece. There's a documentary about making the series, deleted and extended scenes, alternate takes, and interviews with Alec Baldwin, Ellen DeGeneres, David Duchovny, Tom Petty, Jerry Seinfeld, Sharon Stone, Jon Stewart, Carol Burnett, Penny Johnson, Wallace Langham, Scott Thompson, Janeane Garofalo, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Sarah Silverman, Jeremy Piven, Bob Odenkirk and Linda Doucett. The line between reality, reality TV and plain old TV just keeps getting blurrier. According to the trade mag TV Week, TV Land is moving ahead with production on a loosely scripted series starring Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams as themselves — only a version of themselves in which they both live at Penny's house.
