Jon Gosselin: "I have to be a man"

Just days after appearing on Larry King Live, where Gosselin told King that he planned to suspend divorce proceedings, the octo-dad removed hundreds of thousands of dollars from their joint bank account, the magazine reported. A separate account for the Gosselin children was... read more

Jon Gosselin: "I Have to Be a Man"

Jon Gosselin

Jon Gosselin told Larry King an "epiphany" made him realize TLC's recently re-tooled Kate Plus Eight has exploited his family and claimed the network terminated his contract after it learned he wanted to end the program.

"I don't want them to film anymore. I don't think it's healthy for them," Gosselin said on Larry King Live on Thursday. "And I — the reason I don't think it's healthy for them is that we're going through a divorce right now.  And I don't think it should be televised.  And I think my kids should be taken off the show."

News: Kate Plus Eight in turmoil

Kate Gosselin's attorney, Mark Momjian, appeared on the program as well, to say the couple's divorce will not be delayed and that Kate would end the show if she felt it was detrimental ...

Fashion Hit or Miss: Chris Brown's Bowtie

Chris Brown

While the jury's still out on whether Chris Brown's Larry King Live interview Wednesday helped repair his image, I think we can all agree that his coordinating baby-blue bowtie and sweater are fashion crimes.

In fact, Brown's matchy-matchy prepster look has created such a ruckus that #chrisbrownsbowtie has been one of the top-trending topics on Twitter since the interview.

We get that he's trying to win back some love with the clean-cut look, but the Pee-Wee Herman thing is a bit much.

Vote on Brown's look after the jump.

Chris Brown Says He Still Loves Rihanna

Chris Brown

Chris Brown says he still loves Rihanna after an incident six months ago that left her bloodied and bruised.

"When I look at it now, it's just like, wow, like, I can't — I can't believe that — that actually happened," Brown said on Larry King Live in his first television interview, set to air Wednesday.

Though early reports of the King interview indicated that Brown said he didn't remember the incident, the singer issued a detailed statement to People.com, in which he says that he misspoke in the 30-second clip that CNN released, which he says is not representative of the one-hour segment.

"Of course I remember... read more

Lionel and Nicole Richie Appear on Larry King Together

Lionel and Nicole Richie

In their first joint interview in six years, Lionel and Nicole Richie appeared on Larry King Live together Thursday. Why now? Unclear!

What's that? Lionel has an album to promote? Ah, I see. Just Go (in stores now) features collaborations with Ne-Yo, Akon, Tricky and other youngfolk. "I just wanted to just come and support him and just — you know, just show how proud I am of him," Nicole said. Aw. Read what they had to say after the jump...

I don't get why people like ...

Question: I don't get why people like Mark are begrudging Isaiah Washington getting work. I am one of the gayest gay men you'll ever meet, and though I was really unhappy with the reports of what he said, I've also seen him apologize and do volunteer work in pro-gay PSAs. He seems sincere in his attempt at redemption, which is more than you can say for most celebrities involved in scandals of this sort. I have a big problem with him being let go from Grey's Anatomy. If they had fired him immediately, that would have made sense to me. But to fire him at the end of the season, after the effort he put into apologizing and making things right? That was nuts. Am I naive to think that Isaiah is getting another chance because Ben Silverman is listening to Washington's claims that his gay cast mate is fudging accounts of what happened? Help me understand: Why do so many folks not want to see him on TV anymore? Answer: To be honest, I think what rattled so many cages was the speed with which ... read more

Paris Hilton on Larry King: Of Epiphanies, Mystery Meat and Other Baloney

Paris Hilton and Larry King courtesy CNN

There was a drinking game to be played Wednesday night — I know the wife and I repeated a certain two-syllable word throughout the Q&A — as Paris Hilton presented her freed self on Larry King Live. Sporting the-best-money-can-buy hair extensions, lush lashes and an olive branch extended to her detractors, Hilton (as I predicted) had not much to say that hasn't already trickled out via phone calls to Babs, Ryan Seacrest et al. Instead, she stuck to the script that jail was hard, really hard, and that the (alleged) party-gal behavior that brought her to this juncture is all behind her now.Among the choicer sound bites:• The strip search "was the most humiliating experience of my life, taking my clothes off in front of someone you don't even know."• "I'm really not into [partying].... It is not going to be the mainstay of my life anymore." (OK, so it was a 'mainstay,' yet you aren't into it?)• Asked point-blank if she has ever done drugs or had a drinking ... read more

Dr. Phil Steps In to Counsel Distraught Alec Baldwin

Dr. Phil McGraw by Scott Garfield/ABC

On Tuesday's Larry King Live, Dr. Phil explored the point of view of the child involved in a heated custody case such as the one Alec Baldwin is currently fighting with Kim Basinger — and ultimately offered his counseling services to the highly combatant exes. Now he's had that offer accepted — by at least one of them. Not long after the program aired, Baldwin (who likely had tuned in because his brother Stephen was also a guest) reached out to Dr. Phil, and engaged in a long first talk with the iconic psychologist, TV Guide has learned. According to Dr. Phil, Baldwin insisted that “he recognized the inappropriate nature of his comments to his daughter, and using her as the misguided target for his frustrations. One of his fears is that people, including the court, would have the misconception that this characterizes his persona as a father.”Baldwin also told Dr. Phil that he is "completely and totally committed to continuing his fight to have access to a full... read more

Premise: CNN's durable interview/call-in show with the avuncular, suspenders-wearing host, who leads diverse panel discussions. The questions are sometimes of the softball variety, but the chat is intelligent and it seems as if King has booked every notable newsmaker and entertainer, including Ronald Reagan, George Bush (father and son), Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Margaret Thatcher, H. Ross Perot, Frank Sinatra, Al Pacino, Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisand and David Letterman.
