This sequel to 2000's “Raising the Mammoth” follows experts as they use hair dryers to melt bits of bone, hair and tissue from an ice block containing remains of the Jarkov mammoth in Siberia. Unfortunately, whether an entire carcass is contained in the ice is unknown. Computer animation is used to re-create the world inhabited by the mammoth and reveal its life and habits. In another expedition, the team finds remains of Ice Age wolves, bison, horses and musk oxen. Avery Brooks narrates.
