What's the Frequency, Kyle? Season 2, Episode 8

As you all know, Lori was attacked in the last episode. When she wakes up in the morning, her father is sleeping in the room. Meanwhile, Lori asks Kyle "Do I speak with a British accent? No. Do I wear a crown? No. Then stop guarding my door like I'm Queen freaking Elizabeth". I loved this exchange. I am wondering why they are writing Steven's father into this episode if he is terminal. It doesn't seem there would be a long drawn out story line. We find out that Steven and his father are estranged. Steven's father is hooked up to a brain wave monitor and is supposed brain dead. Yet, while Steven is filling Kyle what happened between him and Kyle, all the lines on the monitor peek and Kyle gets a headache. Could, Steven's father not actually be brain dead and is trying to communicate? Somehow, Kyle seemed to receive a picture of the church that Steven's father led. Amanda goes with Kyle to the hospital to see Steven's father. She is commenting on how cold the hospital is, Kyle thinks she is referring to the temperature, while Amanda is really talking about the overall feeling. That actually makes sense for Kyle, he still basically see things as black and white, while everyone else see shades of gray. While they are there, Steven shows up and asks what they are doing, they answer they are waiting to see if Steven's father is trying to send a message. Steven doesn't believe them, and then the monitor jobs, Kyle gets a headache. Kyle seems to be struggling to figure out the message his was given. The next morning, when he wakes up, he has rendered a whole scene on his bedroom wall. Given that Kyle draws by creating little dots on the page, a lot like a computer printer, how can he do that without waking the whole house up? Oh, the wall is covered by individual parts of the scene. Steven takes Kyle to the real room, where he grew up. We find out about the letter and that Steven is ready to try and reconcile with his father. Steven is trying to reconcile with his father, and hoping that Kyle gets a message. So, Kyle was able to communicate with Steven's father, because they ultimately find the letter that Steven wrote to him, in the bible. Meanwhile, Declan believes Foss actually attacked Lori, especially after the warning picture he received. But who actually sent the picture: Jessi, Emily, or Foss? Jessi seems to be concerned with what Nicole is writing during her session. Why are Nicole's notes about Jessi, whom is her patient, confidential? As far as I know, you always have the right to see your chart and doctor's notes. Jessi is trying to recreate Nicole's notes, when she does; she seems to have no reaction to the message. I am not sure if that would have been the way I would have reacted? To me, Jessi's emotions seem to be very random. Finally, Jessi seems to be having an issue with Nicole's thoughts about her, but the boss at Madacorp thing that Jessi is a computer with a glitch and to just bring her in to be reprogrammed. Emily wanted to quit the project, she was given time to reconsider it. Meanwhile, Madacorp sends Emily a message by picking up her daughter at school and dropping her at Emily's mother's house. I would say that is a pretty clear message. We know where you live; we know your loved ones. We are about half way through the season and I was expecting more interaction between Jessi and Kyle, more of a chase. I know that Jessi is supposed to have a dark side, so far it has only been hinted at and not really shown. So Jessi, attacked Lori for Declan necklace. Jessi is way too attached to Declan, almost stalker like attached. I am glad they gave Declan a new hair cut. But I am wondering if he is really over Lori, now that Kyle has spilled what is going on, Declan seems more interested in spending time with Lori again. How does Kyle know so much about what Amanda did with her father? I don't remember them talking extensive about him, until this episode. Kyle and Amanda finally kiss and Kyle looks so relieved that he didn't screw it up. Some random thoughts. It was great to see an episode that revoled around Kyle's interaction with Steven. Where was Andy? Why is she suddenly missing? You can find more Kyle XY videos in our Online Video Guide. I would like to thank everyone for being so forgiving about the length of time it took me to get this posting up. show less
