Premise: Imaginative puppetry that delighted both children and their parents with its unscripted creativity and wit. Airing live, the fanciful show had Fran Allison interacting with puppets Kukla, a sweet clown, and Ollie, a one-toothed dragon, as well as other members of the `Kuklapolitans,' as they were called. Burr Tillstrom created each puppet by hand and provided all the voices. This beloved classic from the early days of TV endured, in one form or another, for the better part of three decades.
