Princesses, pop stars and superheroes will be among the many Disney favorites taking over the Anaheim Convention Center on August 9—11 for the biennial D23 Expo. The celebration of all things Disney will include the stars and creators of several popular shows from the Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior.
Among the big Disney Channel events being showcased are Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel, a summer special in which the boys meet the superheroes of (Disney-owned) Marvel Comics; Teen Beach Movie, a live-action musical airing July 19; and Wander Over Yonder, the upcoming animated series from The Powerpuff Girls creator Craig McCracken and starring 30 Rock alum Jack McBrayer (both of whom will be in attendance).

Disney XD is giving kids tons of action-packed reasons to say indoors this summer with the network's most ambitious programming slate yet. The young, male-driven network will unveil a slew of series and specials this season including Marvel's Avengers Assemble, premiering Sunday July 7, and Marvel's Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., premiering Sunday, Aug. 11. The network has also partnered with the X Games for four separate specials, airing nightly July 22-25. All of the "Non-Stop Summer" fun officially makes a splash on Monday, June 17. Disney XD is kicking back into action with the third season premiere of Kickin' It. The martial arts comedy goes for the gold with guest star Gabby Douglas, last summer's Olympic gymnastics all-around champion. Whether Douglas will show up the dojo cast remains to be seen, but series star and real-life martial artist Leo Howard puts his skills to the test in the 007-themed episode, titled "Spyfall."

The actors on the Disney XD's Kickin' It comedy play martial arts students, but the Bobby Wasabi Academy is welcoming a real-life expert into the dojo. Teen martial artist Booboo Stewart is most recognizable as Seth Clearwater in the Twilight movie franchise, but with a martial arts Hall of Fame pass under his black belt, Stewart is kickin' on over to Monday's episode (airing at 9/8c) where he stars as Carson, one of Rudy's former superstar students.

It's April Fools in November on Disney XD, which is celebrating the art of the practical joke throughout the month, including the launch of new hidden camera series Just Kidding. The show, hosted by YouTube personality Zach Fox, launches on Monday, Nov. 19 at 7/6c.
The channel will also start airing episodes of sister Disney Channel's Code: 9.
