Thanks for all the awesome comments last week. I just knew I wasn't alone in my Kathy worship. Of course, there were a few of you comment-makers who just aren't FOKs (Fans of Kathy), but I'll accept that. As long as most of y'all "get" it, I'm happy. Tonight, Kathy was at her self-deprecating best, but how many of you wanted to strangle that Michael, the eBay auction winner from Cleveland - let alone be him? I couldn't believe he wasn't on Cloud 9 the whole time. Total Debbie Downer. I was like "You paid $5,000 to be there - show some enthusiasm!" It killed me that Kathy lied during her Costume Designers Guild Awards presentation speech and said his bid was $60,000. Glad she ended up telling the LA Times guy the truth. I loved how Kathy and Matt, along with Kathy's parents, John and Maggie, were dying to figure out "how he got the dough." It was so creepy when he went back into their house looking for the free iPod. Maybe at Nicole Kidman's or Paris Hilton's house, but not Kathy's. Nevertheless, Kathy asked her assistant Jessica to send him one. Speaking of John and Maggie, as I said last week, I hope they're on each episode because they are simply hilarious. My favorite comment of Maggie's was when she couldn't believe Michael wasn't as grateful as Kathy's regular gay friends: "The difference between a Cleveland gay and an LA gay is worlds apart! I thought he'd be more appreciative." Other highlights: - Kathy, who supports "the troops, not the war," being more concerned about bombing with the troops than actually getting bombed. - Kathy pointing to the photo of her with Oprah because "it's what I'd grab in a fire." - Kathy mockingly chastising the awards committee for not nominating the stylist for another show I covered for Watercooler: Being Bobby Brown. - Kathy's "inappropriate humor" during her presentation and then saying, "That's why I got fired from the red carpet! F***ing Seacrest!" - Kathy's "Lose 10 Pounds in 40 Days with Kathy" photo shoot for Star magazine and her wanting to be in the "Stars Not Normal" section. I totally remember reading that Kathy issue, I'll admit it. - All the "reaction" shots of Kathy's dog, Chance. - The fact that Kathy got sick after eating broccoli because her body is only used to eating junk food ("I think there's a chance Matt is poisoning me"). - Kathy and Matt gifting her parents with two cases of wine so they wouldn't be upset about the trip to Iraq. - Kathy scaring her mother before leaving for Iraq by suggesting it was their last goodbye ("We always thought Dad was gonna go first!"). - Maggie being scared for Kathy after seeing Syriana. Kathy: " George Clooney did this to you? Damn that Clooney!" Lowlights: - Michael not knowing any of the celebs at the awards ceremony and only hoping to meet Geri Halliwell, the Artist Formerly Known as Ginger Spice. Oh, Michael. - Michael not wanting any of the contents in Kathy's gift bag. Dude - at least pretend that you're thankful. Best quote of Kathy's: "Going to Iraq - it's got to be easier than doing the red carpet with Star." What were your favorite parts? I'm sure I left some good stuff out. Comment away.... show less
