When Maya suggests Nick Hewitt for a celebrity profile, Nina recounts her romantic encounter with the "Angry Man of Rock 'n' Roll" during a vacation in Mexico. While claiming the perfect weekend inspired Nick to write the hit song, "Nina in a Cantina," Nina prefers just keeping it a fond memory. However, when Maya mentions that Nick seems interested in a reunion, Nina agrees to meet. Meanwhile, as Elliott accuses a famous photographer of stealing his best ideas, Finch is appalled when given Jack's latest art project. During an interview, Maya discovers that Nina wasn't the inspiration for the song and that Nick doesn't even remember meeting her, let alone spending a weekend together 25 years ago. Once Nina arrives at the bar, Maya asks Nick to pretend he does. But when Nick then agrees to give her a call the following day, Maya is forced to tell Nina that he hurriedly left town to resist any temptation to rekindle their affair. Meanwhile, as Elliott sets out to use Nick's photos to prove he's a star, Finch's As Elliott works to get just the right photos of Nick, Nina learns that the rock star is in the building. Consequently, Maya is forced to reveal that he doesn't remember spending time with her. And that's when Nina discovers her romantic weekend wasn't spent with Nick, but with his band's bass player. Finally, as Nina decides that the weekend wasn't quite so romantic after all, Elliott learns that his idea for Nick's pictures were once used by a famous rival.

Keck's Exclusives: Hot in Cleveland Stages a Just Shoot Me Reunion

After reuniting Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Betty White with their former sitcom co-stars, TV Land's Hot in Cleveland is finally giving some reunion love to Wendie Malick. In its third season, the series will bring Wendie back together with her Just Shoot Me! co-star Laura San Giacomo. The ladies worked side by side on the NBC sitcom from 1997-2003, with Laura's Maya often butting heads with Wendie's Nina Van Horn.

Retired at 35 Star George Segal: Will Work for Cigars, Banjo

When it came time to lure George Segal back to primetime television for TV Land's new sitcom Retired at 35, he had two mandates: his character would have to smoke cigars and play the banjo.

"I said [it was that] or no dice," the industry veteran, 76, joked Wednesday at the Television Critics Assn.'s winter preview session.

Added series creator and executive producer Chris Case: "There was no banjo in the original pilot script until George came on board. It's so collaborative, this medium. You go, you know what George Segal plays the banjo. Let's do that."

Premise: A slick long-running ensemble sitcom set at a glossy women's magazine run by a bombastic publisher. Marked by sly repartee and gleeful double entendres, it follows the antics of a staff that includes the boss's daughter, a serious journalist who has no love for his publication; a hard-living fashion editor; a neurotic photographer; and a scheming, fawning assistant named Dennis, who can be quite the menace.
