Amy is overburdened at work with no time to figure out if she actually received a marriage proposal during a shopping trip with Stu. Elsewhere, Kyle confronts Lily about their near-kiss, and she responds by lecturing him on his alcohol use. Meanwhile, a public defender (Tim Daly) becomes annoyed over Amy's handling of a drug charge against his 15-year-old client; and Gillian suspects Peter of seeing another woman.
